Ahn Byeong-hun tied for 22nd at the PGA Tour Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2R… Lead and 4 strokes

Ahn Byung-hoon (32) laid the groundwork for entering the top 10 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money of 9 million dollars) of the American Professional Golf (PGA) tour.

In the second round of the tournament held at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72) in California on the 4th (Korean time), Ahn Byeong-hoon scored 3 under par 69 with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys.

Ahn Byeong-hoon, who recorded a total of 5 under par 138 strokes on two days, raised his ranking from a tie for 47th the previous day to a tie for 22nd. He is four strokes behind the sole leader, Kurt Kitayama (USA).

Ahn Byeong-hun, who won the Korn Ferry Tour (Part 2) last season and won the PGA Tour card again this season, created a chance to rise to the second top 10 in the 2022-23 season. He tied for 4th at the Fortinet Championships last September, when he was returning to the PGA Tour, and had no top 10 for the next 10 events.

Ahn Byung-hoon easily caught a birdie by putting a wedge shot 50cm from the pin in hole 2 (par 5), and then wrote down a bogey when his tee shot went off the fairway in hole 4 (par 4). In the 6th hole (par 5), he landed his third shot 1m away and got another birdie.

After another bogey on the 10th hole (par 4) in the second half, only three birdies were caught to change the atmosphere. Ahn Byeong-hun, who recorded a birdie at a tricky distance of 4m on the 14th hole (par 5), finished the game in a good mood by adding stepping-stone birdies within 3m on the 16th hole (par 4) and 18th hole (par 5).

In this tournament, rounds 1 to 3 are played in turn at three courses, including Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club, followed by a cut-off. The winner is born at the Pebble Beach Golf Links course where the final round is played. 바카라사이트

Pebble Beach Golf Links is considered the most difficult of the three courses. Because it is located on the coast, it is most exposed to the sea breeze. Meanwhile, Ahn Byeong-hun, who has improved his ranking, will play the third round at the Spyglass Hill course.

On the Spyglass Hill course, Kang Seong-hun cut 1 stroke to rank in a tie for 35th (3 under par, 194 strokes), and Noh Seung-yeol, who played on the same course, also recorded 1 under par and tied for 57th (1 under par, 143 strokes). Kim Seong-hyeon (25) improved her ranking to 76th (even par 144) by reducing two strokes at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. In the coming 3rd round, you have to reduce the number of strokes more to pass the cut.

Kitayama was the sole leader in the rain and strong winds. Kitayama tied 3 birdies and 1 bogey, shot 2 under par 70, and took the lead with a total of 9 under par 134 strokes. It beat Keith Mitchell, Brandon Wu, Joseph Bramlett, and Hank Rubioda (USA, 8 under par 135 strokes above), who were tied for second place, by one stroke.

Kitayama, who has yet to win the PGA Tour, won three runner-up finishes at the Mexico Open, Genesis Scottish Open, and The CJ Cup last year. It was a tournament in which world-class players such as John Rahm (Spain), Xander Chopley (USA), and Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) won the championship. There are no players with this kind of star power at the top of this tournament. Only Scott Stallings (USA, 7 under par, 137 strokes), who is tied for 6th place by 2 strokes, has recorded 3 wins on the PGA Tour.

Among the other top ranking players, Viktor Hovlan (Norway) was tied for 11th place (6 under par, 137 strokes), and Jordan Spieth (USA) was tied for 28th place (4 under par, 139 strokes).

Meanwhile, 156 amateur golfers will also participate in this tournament, pairing up with a pro in a pair of two. Two players play with their own balls, and the game is played in a best-ball format, with the better score for each hole as the team score, and the combined score determines the winning team.

Gareth Bale (Wales), who made headlines at this tournament 23 days after retiring as a world-renowned soccer star, joined Bramlett, who tied for second place in the professional division. They tied for ninth with a combined 13 under par 130 strokes until the second round.
