Breaking international Jeon Jeon Yeon (24-Freshbella) has won a bronze medal at the 2023 World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Asian Breaking Championships, giving her the green light to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Jeon defeated world No. 1 Liu Qingyu 메이저사이트 of China, 2-1, in the bronze medal match of the event’s bee girl category on Sunday in Hangzhou, China.
The competition is a test event using the same venues and facilities as the Hangzhou Asian Games in October and features the highest ranking point level of any WDSF-organized event.
With the third-place finish, Jeon earned 650 points and increased her chances of qualifying for the Olympic Qualifier Series (OQS), the qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
It was also her second consecutive medal at the WDSF International Series in Montreal, Canada, in June.
“This medal is even more valuable and gratifying as it comes from a championship event in Asia, where the sport is strong,” said Jeon Jeon-ye, “and I will continue to develop as an athlete with the goal of performing well at the upcoming Asian Games and next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.”
