Kim Min-jae (27)’s defensive partner Amir Rahmani (29, Napoli) has signed a long-term contract with SSC Napoli.
SSC Napoli announced through the club’s official website on June 27 (KST), “The club has reached an agreement with central defender Amir Rahmani to renew his contract until June 30, 2027. The deal includes an option for the club and Rahmani to extend the contract by one year until June 2028,” the club announced on its official website.
Rahmani is a central defender who, alongside Kim Min-jae, is the backbone of Napoli’s defense and has made 34 appearances in all competitions this season, including 27 in the league.
Rahmani, who stands at 6-foot-2, has used his size to play aggressive defense, compete for aerial balls, and pass with precision to help Napoli win the league title.
Rahmani, meanwhile, is known to be close to Kim Min-jae, who has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United, notably saying in January, “Kim Min-jae is a really strong player.
