Thailand won the Hanwha Life Plus International Crown (total prize money of $2 million) held as an event competition on the LPGA Tour and received $500,000 in prize money.

Teaming up with sisters Ataya Titikkun, Patty Tawatanakit, and Moriya and Eriya Jutanugarn, Thailand defeated Australia in the finals on the final day of the tournament held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California on the 8th (Korean time). He won his first championship by winning all the matches.

Thailand won 11 out of 12 games played in this tournament, becoming the country with the most wins ever. Tawatanakit’s only loss in the tournament was a loss to American Lilia Vu in the singles match in the semifinals.

With this victory, Thailand was named the fourth champion of the tournament, following Spain in 2014, the United States in 2016, and Korea in 2018.

The event, which Korean company Hanwha Lifeplus took over as the title sponsor from this year, is an event in the form of a national competition in which players on the LPGA tour are divided into countries and competed against each other. It is not an official national competition co-hosted by the golf association representing each country.

A total of 32 players, 4 each from 8 countries, participated in this tournament, and a four-ball match until the third day, and the top two teams in each group played a singles and four-ball match on the last day to play semi-finals and finals, and the rankings were determined by points.

Although it is different from general competitions in which the winner is determined by individual stroke play, prize money is given according to the ranking.

Thailand, the winner, received $500,000, 25% of the total prize money. Four people participated and took $125,000 (about 165 million won) each.

Australia, which placed second, received $303,600 in prize money, or $75,900 per person, while the United States, third, $280,000, and Sweden, fourth, received $240,000.

Korea, which failed to advance to the semifinals and failed to win the tournament for the second time in a row, finished this tournament tied with China for 5th place according to their group stage results (2 wins). The joint fifth prize money was $177,500, with at least $40,825 each for Jinyoung Ko, Hyoju Kim, Inji Jeon, and Hyejin Choi.
