‘Victory Guardian’ Jeju’s multi-goal Arsenal, Leeds complete… Leading the EPL

Arsenal, the leader of the English Premier League (EPL), led the league with seven consecutive victories thanks to Gabriel Jesus’ multi-goal.

Arsenal won 4-1 in a home game against Leeds United in the 29th round of the 2022-23 EPL held at Emirates Stadium in London, England on the 2nd (Korean time).

Arsenal had a record of 23 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses (72 points), enjoying a 7-game winning streak in the league, maintaining an 8-point lead over second place Manchester City (64 points), which had played one less game. On the other hand, Leeds are in an uneasy 16th place with 26 points. It is only 1 point away from Leicester City (25 points), 18th in the relegation zone.

Arsenal, who took the lead from the beginning and rushed, succeeded in overpowering it with Jejus’ penalty kick in the 35th minute of the first half. Jeju’s dribble breakthrough from the left side of the box tripped over a tackle from Leeds defender Luke Ailing, and a penalty kick was declared. Jejus, who started as the kicker, calmly fooled the goalkeeper and shook the net.

Ben White scored an additional goal for Arsenal in the second half of the second minute. Martinelli’s accurate cross from the left flank was pushed in by White, who was rushing to the goal.

Arsenal, which gained momentum, virtually split the game with Jejus’ second goal in the 10th minute of the second half.

According to the British BBC, Jejus is undefeated in 52 matches (49 wins, 3 draws) in the games where they scored during the matches between Man City and Arsenal in the EPL. The pleasant jinx of ‘Jeju’s score = team’s victory’ continues.

Leeds scored a comeback goal in the 31st minute of the second half by Rasmus Christensen, but Arsenal also scored an additional goal by Granit Xhaka in the 39th minute of the second half, eventually winning the game by 3 goals.

Man City, chasing Arsenal, won 4-1 against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Manchester City gave up the opening goal to Mohamed Salah in the 17th minute of the first half, but Julian Alvarez’s recovery goal balanced the score in the 27th minute of the first half.

Manchester City beat Liverpool in the second half with relay goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish. Manchester City pursued Arsenal with four consecutive league victories. 안전놀이터
